The inspiration for the Wäylä earrings came from the Tornionjoki River, the Wäylä, and the Finnish flag. The undulating and open-sawn surface is hammered to depict flowing water and rapids. The raised, suggestive cross pattern gracefully curves, featuring a sparkly surface, resembling a salmon leaping upstream. The earrings are adorned with a 1mm diamond set in the fastening stud, symbolizing the North Star. These earrings were featured at the 2023 Independence Day reception hosted by the President of Finland, worn by Minister Kaisa Juuso.
